Welshpool ex-servicemen and women are threatening to snub next month's Remembrance Day parade in protest at route changes caused by the one-way system.
The veterans have traditionally marched via Broad Street on their way to the service at St Mary's Church, but have been ordered to switch to the back streets after the new road system in was introduced in February.
They will march up High Street from the town hall, down Jehu Road and Brook Street on November 13.
It has created unrest in the ranks, with claims the break with tradition is unnecessary and disrespectful.
