Arrest after Whitchurch hit-and-run

A 44-year-old man has been arrested and bailed in connection with a hit-and-run in Whitchurch which left a woman needing hospital treatment.

The incident happened shortly before 5.30pm on Sunday. The female pedestrian was treated for bruising at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

The man was arrested at an address in Whitchurch on Sunday on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving with excess alcohol, and failing to stop after a road collision.
