Jewellery taken by Telford burglars

Thieves forced their way into a home in Telford and stole hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery, police this afternoon said.

The burglary happened at an address in Halifax Drive, Leegomery, between 8.30am and 10.30pm on Monday.

The burglars forced their way into the house and carried out an untidy search of all rooms.

Various items were stolen including a white Apple laptop, a bottle of Lacoste perfume, a Toshiba touch book and a Canon camera lens.

Police said hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery was also stolen.

Items taken included an orange Tissot watch, a rose gold locket with diamonds in it, a pearl necklace, a silver ring, a Rip Curl watch and an Accurist mother of pearl watch. A leather jewellery box was also stolen.

Telford police spokeswoman Denise Wakefield urged anyone with information about the burglary to contact police on the non-emergency 101 number.
