Dozens of new jobs are being created at three Aldi supermarkets – including a new store being built in Bridgnorth.

Aldi is looking to increase the number of staff working at stores in Ludlow and Leominster while 20 new staff are being taken on at a supermarket being built on the former Bridgnorth College site. The store is due to open on June 21.

A recruitment open day is being held on Sunday at 5pm at the store in Station Road, Ludlow.

A spokesman for Aldi said: "We are looking to expand our store teams and would like to invite suitable candidates to our open day."

Aldi has also applied for a premises licence to sell alcohol for consumption off the Bridgnorth site on Mondays to Sundays between 8am to 11pm.

Tony Mantle, West Mercia police licensing officer, said: "Aldi has applied for a premises licence and has asked for it to be effective from April 1 this year."
