Workmen today began clearing 20 years of rubbish from the home of a recluse in Wellington.
Contractors appointed by Telford & Wrekin Council arrived at Michael Kenna's home in New Church Road this morning and started to tackle the garden, which has not been tended to since Mr Kenna's parents died in the 1990s.
The council won a court order to move in last Friday after magistrates agreed the home was a public health risk.
A neighbour had complained of hearing rats under the floor.
