Girl, 9, is grabbed in Tenbury Wells alley

A man grabbed a nine-year-old girl and led her down an alleyway in Tenbury Wells, police said today.

The nine-year-old was making her way along Penlu Road and onto Burford Village Hall car park between 4.30pm and 4.50pm on Wednesday.

The girl then crossed the car park and made her way down an alleyway that leads to Stanbrook Road.

It was then an unknown man walked towards her, grabbed her by the shoulder without warning, and walked her back down the alleyway.

Officers say the man then let the girl go when they reached the end of Penlu Road and walked away in the direction of Swan Lane. He was silent throughout the whole incident.

The man was white, around 5ft 10ins, bald and wearing glasses and trainers. Call police on 0300 333 3000.
