A £100,000 winning lottery ticket has been bought at a shop in Telford, it was revealed today.

It is the second time in three years a customer at Haybridge News in Hadley has scooped a huge prize.

Shopkeeper Shabir Ahmed said he had been informed by Camelot that the winning ticket had been purchased six months ago.

In 2009 the same shop sold a ticket which claimed £1.7 million on the lotto.

Mr Ahmed said he has no idea who the winner was.

He said: "I just got the letter from Camelot on Saturday. It doesn't tell me who the winner is or what the winning numbers were, just that I sold the winning ticket around six months ago.

"One of my customers has won £100,000. I don't know if they were a local resident or not, they do not want the publicity. But the letter says the winner wanted me to be informed of the win. Three years ago I sold a lottery ticket which won £1.7 million."
