Two men in their late 50s suffered serious injuries after a car overturned after a three-vehicle smash on the A458 at Weeping Cross, near Shrewsbury, shortly before 3pm yesterday.
The driver suffered serious leg and arm injuries and was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. His passenger had serious arm and hip injuries and was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The road was shut until 9.30pm.

At about 1pm yesterday, firefighters freed an elderly man from his car on the A458 on the outskirts of Bridgnorth. He was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Two women and one man were also taken to hospital after a three-vehicle smash on the A483 near Welshpool at 4.30pm, closing the road.
A driver was also taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Station Road, Minsterley, near Shrewsbury, yesterday at 4.40pm. The road was closed for about 10 minutes.
