St George's Church in Clun needs £40,000 to help repair stonework and fix the church organ, damaged by falling masonry.
Church chiefs say they will launch a campaign this St George's weekend to help rake in the vital cash.
Joan Kerry, fundraising manager at St George's, said: "This is St George's weekend and as we are desperately fundraising for urgent repair work needed at St George's Church here in Clun, we have several events planned."
The church say they have already raised more than £20,000 to help with the repairs but added they needed the help of local people to reach the £40,000 target by November.
On Saturday from 10am till 3pm there will be a craft fair in St George's Church and at 7pm there will be a fundraising concert. There will also be an afternoon tea at the church on Sunday.
