Plans were unveiled today for a care and education centre for disadvantaged children in Shropshire, which could create up to 18 jobs.

The Physis Group wants planning permission for the scheme at Heathgates Farm in Prees, near Whitchurch.

The applicant said no youngsters with a 'tendency to cause anti-social problems' would be housed there.

A report on behalf of the group says: "The applicants are keen to stress in this application that the proposal is not to create a delinquent care facility.

"Residents with a tendency to cause anti-social problems are not going to be accommodated within this facility. The profile of the residents are young males who have attachment problems and need specialist support to encourage them to engage and learn much-needed social skills."
