Seven more in court after £100,000 drugs raids

Six men and a woman have appeared in court after more than £100,000 of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis resin was seized in Shropshire.

Six men and a woman have appeared in court after more than £100,000 of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis resin was seized in Shropshire.

Police charged 14 people after officers took part in drugs raids in Telford and Shrewsbury.

Seven men appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday morning.

They were followed in the afternoon by Kenneth Preston, 41, of Hurleybrook Way, Leegomery, Telford, and Andrew Morgan, 36, of New Park Street, Shrewsbury, who both face four charges of conspiring to supply drugs.

Gordon Smith, 34, of York Road, Shrewsbury, and James Robert Stubbings, 30, of Stone Row, Malinslee, Telford, face three counts of conspiring to supply drugs.

Mother-of-seven Deborah Northwood, 42, of York Road, Shrewsbury, faces a charge of conspiring to supply cocaine. Andrew Evans, 49, also of York Road, and Thomas Price, 25, of Burnside, Brookside, Telford, are both accused of conspiring to supply cocaine.

Appearing earlier yesterday were Jonathan Rotchford, 30, of Lake End Drive, Brookside, Scott Dodd, 34, of no fixed address, Ross Myatt, 29, of Dallamoor, Hollin swood, Lee Stevens, 27, of Bridgwood, Brookside, Richard Maddock, 31, of Bishopdale, Brookside, David Malony, 33, of Dalford Court, Hollinswood, and Stephen John Carlos, 52, of Station Road, Donnington.

The case was adjourned for a preliminary hearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday. Northwood was bailed while all 13 men were remanded in custody.
