Shrewsbury landmark still sealed off

The Lord Hill Column – one of Shrewsbury's most famous landmarks – will remain sealed off for the foreseeable future, three weeks after a piece of masonry fell more than 100ft from the top.

Shropshire Council chiefs say they still do not know if any repairs are needed to the 133ft landmark, which stands by Shirehall.
