Councillors have backed controversial proposals for three poultry sheds at a farm in south Shropshire, despite concerns over traffic.
They unanimously voted in favour of allowing the development at Shadwell Hall, near Clun, at a meeting yesterday.
They heard the expansion could potentially create up to 35 jobs both directly at the farm and indirectly at related businesses. The sheds would enable an extra 40,000 chickens to be housed, taking the farm's overall capacity to 182,000.
Approval was given by councillors subject to a number of conditions.
