Car smash woman and girl airlifted to hospital
A woman in her 20s and a little girl were airlifted to hospital after being injured in a two-car smash in Shropshire. Four other women were also taken to hospital.
Firefighters had to cut the roofs off two cars to free a number of people who were trapped following a crash in Shropshire.
Three people had to be cut free following the two-car accident which happened on the B4378 in Bourton, near Much Wenlock. Seven people – including an 18-month old girl – were injured in the accident on Saturday at about 11.30am.
A woman in her 20s was cut from her silver Ford Focus and the youngster, who was in a car seat in the back, suffered a serious head injury.

Five other people travelling in a silver Ford S-Max were also injured. They were the driver and his four passengers – two women and two teenage girls.
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "This was obviously a serious collision and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
"We are urging anyone who saw what happened, or spotted either vehicle being driven leading up to the collision, to call Shrewsbury police station on 101."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Crews arrived to find two cars which had been involved in a significant collision.
"The driver of one car, a woman in her 20s, had sustained a fractured arm and a suspected pelvic injury and was trapped in the vehicle. Crews and the doctor worked to release her."
She said the woman was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
She added: "A toddler from the same car suffered a serious head injury. The girl was anaesthetised before she was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital."
In a separate accident a 26-year-old man was taken to hospital in Birmingham after being trapped beneath a van for more than an hour after a crash in Bridgnorth.
Ambulance staff were called to the A458, near to the Bobbington turn, in Six Ashes, Bridgnorth at around 9.40pm on Friday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "He had suffered neck pain, a shoulder injury and knee pain. The man was given pain relief and fully immobilised."
