A 29-year-old man from Wellington accused of selling a teenage girl for sex to restaurant workers is alleged to have taken her on foot to some locations because he did not have a car, a court has heard.
The young mother – now aged 19 – confirmed that Mubarek Ali had 'pimped her out' to staff at several fast-food outlets in the Telford area. She claimed Ali had walked with her or paid someone petrol money to drive them.
Ali, of Regent Street, Wellington, denies four charges of controlling child prostitution, two of trafficking in the UK for sexual exploitation and a charge of causing child prostitution.
Questioned by Mr Andrew Dowden, for Ali, the young woman denied that what she had told police in 2009 was 'just a story'.
And the teenage witness, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claimed that Ali – who she knew as Max – had taken her and another girl to have sex with other people.
The witness had said she gave £50 in cash, given to her for performing a sex act on a man in 50s, to the defendant.
Asked about being taken to a fish bar in Hadley the witness said Max had taken her there to have sex with some of the staff.
The woman said she was pimped out and that Ali had paid someone petrol money to take him around.
The teenager claimed that when it was not necessary to have a car he walked with her to the Haybridge Road fish and chip shop.
Asked if she knew the names of any of the workers or ever had their phone numbers, she said no.
Also on trial is Ali's younger brother, Ahdel Ali, of Regent Street, Wellington, who the girl knew as Eddie.
He denies an allegation of rape, 11 allegations of sexual activity with a child, three charges of controlling child prostitution, two of inciting child prostitution, an allegation of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and meeting a child after grooming.
The trial continues.
