Police this afternoon renewed their appeal for information after two masked men burst into a Bridgnorth supermarket and forced staff to hand over thousands of pounds in cash.

Police this afternoon renewed their appeal for information after two masked men burst into a Bridgnorth supermarket and forced staff to hand over thousands of pounds in cash.

The attack happened at the Co-op store on Lodge Lane. Staff were threatened before the robbers made off with the takings on foot at 10pm on Wednesday.

Police also appealed for the owner of a scooter that had been left under the shop-front shutters to come forward.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw anything at about 9pm or just after 10pm. Call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
