A man appeared in court today charged with robbing a bookmaker's in Telford.
Kevin Riedel is accused of fleeing with £440 from the Coral betting office in The Parade, Donnington, on July 2 this year.
The 46-year-old also faces a charge of possessing a four-inch kitchen knife on the same date and a further charge of attempted robbery at the same betting shop yesterday.
Riedel, of Cordingley Way, Donnington, Telford, was remanded in custody.
