A man who allegedly raped a teenage schoolgirl at his home in Telford asked her to kill him with a knife after she threatened to report him to the police, a court has heard.

The teenage girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday she was shaking with fear during the alleged attack by Paul Ahoto.

Ahoto, 23, of no fixed abode, denies raping the teenager, known as Girl C, at his then home in Leegomery in November last year.

He also denies separate charges of sexually assaulting a 26-year-old woman, known in court as Girl A, in September 2010 and engaging with sexual activity with another teenage girl, known as Girl B, in 2011.

Ahoto further denies falsely imprisoning the woman and the girls.

Jurors heard evidence from Girl C during the trial yesterday, who said Ahoto took a knife and asked her to use it on him if she insisted on telling the police.

She said she told him she could not use the knife on him and would report the attack to the police.

Giving evidence yesterday, she said: "I was shaking with fear.

"He said I should kill him. I was scared – I didn't want to kill him.

"I couldn't do that. I would get into big trouble. I'd rather go to the police and report him.

"He said I don't want my brother or my family or the police to know about this."

Ahoto, who is from Ghana and is using an interpreter during the trial, denies all charges and claims the alleged victims initiated sexual advances towards him.

The trial continues.
