Arsonists attack two Telford skate parks

Fires at two skate parks in Shropshire are being treated as suspected arson, fire chiefs said today.

Bins and rubbish were found on fire at the sites in Leegomery and Brookside in Telford early today and on Saturday night.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue today said crews put out the fires quickly after being alerted early. A spokesman said both were being treated as arson.

The first fire was at the skate park at Beaconsfield in Brookside on Saturday night just after 10pm.

A second fire was discovered this morning at the skate park in Millstream Way, Leegomery.
