Two in hospital after Shrewsbury smash

Two people has been taken to hospital - one with serious injuries - following a crash between a car and a motorbike close to a level crossing in Shrewsbury today.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident at about 6.45am on Harlescott Lane, Shrewsbury after the two-vehicle crash.

Two people were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. One, a man in his 20s, is in a serious condition, an ambulance spokesman said.
