Telford pub attack victim fights for life

A man was today fighting for his life in hospital after being seriously injured in an attempted murder outside a pub in Telford.

Police said the man, who has not been named, was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries following the attack outside The Station Hotel in Wellington.

Paramedics called to the scene on Friday night took the injured man to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. He was later transferred to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

A man in his 30s was arrested and bailed pending inquiries. Information to police on 101.
