The Mercure Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa in Ellesmere Road, Shrewsbury, is already taking bookings for the festive season – when many people are still awaiting the arrival of 'summer'.

The hotel's Black, White & Diamonds brochure details the festive parties being held at Albrighton Hall from December 1.

The highlight will be an Abba tribute night on December 8, which will include a three-course meal and DJ and disco following the tribute act. There will also be Lady Gaga tribute night on December 13, with classics from the pop superstar playing until about 1.30am.

Fiona Clarke, business development co-ordinator at the hotel, said: "This is the first time we have had themed evenings and also this year we have a Lady Gaga tribute night, which will be an experience to say the least!

"Over the last few years we have worked really hard to build up the bookings for the party nights and we are really pleased that we have local companies and individuals coming back year on year now."

She added: "The accommodation price is excellent value and this encourages people to make a weekend of it and saves the cost of taxis."

The party nights, which start from £24.95 per person, will be held in themed event rooms from December 1 to 22. For information call (01939) 291718.
