Princess Anne is coming to Shropshire

Princess Anne will visit Shropshire next month for a day of events in the county.

The Princess Royal will visit Harper Adams University College near Newport, a children's care home at Shrewsbury and attend a dinner in Craven Arms during the visit on October 29.

She will cut the ribbon on a new hall of residence for students at Harper Adams during her trip to the Edgmond college.

Harper Adams principal Dr David Llewellyn said: "There have been so many developments since Her Royal Highness's visit in December 2009, when she opened the Regional Food Academy, which we are excited to share with the princess."

The Princess Royal will also open a new supported living home at Bradbury House in Shrewsbury and will attend an Animal Health Trust dinner at Broncroft Castle in Craven Arms.
