Broadband speed joy for Wem
More than 3,000 homes and businesses in a Shropshire town can now benefit from super-fast broadband.

BT has announced the latest phase of its roll-out of broadband in the UK, which includes 3,500 premises in Wem.
The BT investment makes available download speeds of up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps) – more than double the fastest speed previously available from BT.
Richard Sheehan, managing director of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "I really welcome the news that another 3,500 homes and businesses in Shropshire are now able to take advantage of a technology which will play a key role in our economic growth and future development."
