Shropshire towns lighting up for Christmas
Christmas lights were being switched on in Shropshire and Mid Wales today.

The Ellesmere Winter Festival was due to get under way at 5.30pm with the Christmas lights being switched on at 6.15pm.
Wem's Christmas Festival will also start at 5.30pm, with the lights on at 6.30pm.
In Newport the festivities start from 4.30pm, while Much Wenlock's lights go on at 7pm.
Meanwhile Spooks star Ian Bartholomew will turn on Whitchurch's lights at 5pm tomorrow.
