The 19-year-old, from the Bridgnorth area, was arrested yesterday by police investigating the death of Ben Henshaw.

Ben, 16, from Alveley, died after the car he was in crashed into a lake close to Patshull Park Hotel, near Pattingham, in August last year.

The driver, who was 18 at the time, and a 15-year-old girl, who had been the front seat passenger, managed to swim clear of the car.

The driver of the car was interviewed in custody before being released on bail pending further inquiries as part of an ongoing police investigation.

Sarah Davison, spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police, said Ben's family had been updated and were being offered the support of a police family liaison officer.
