Plea as sheep model is stolen from Wem garden
A life-sized model of a sheep has been stolen from the garden of a home in Shropshire.
Lorraine Clorley, of Lowe Hill Road in Wem, said one of her three life-size sheep was taken from her garden earlier this week.
Mrs Clorley said the ornament, which she bought for about £250 on eBay seven years ago, must have been stolen some time between Tuesday and Thursday.
The 39-year-old said: "We have got life-size animals in our garden and have had one of the sheep stolen. We did have three, now we have only got two.
"It is not something you keep track of – they didn't touch the other two. I find it bizarre. I think it was stolen for a prank or because they are getting quite popular to collect."
Mrs Clorley said she is willing to give a reward to anybody who has any information that may lead to her getting the ornament back. Contact her on (01939) 233802.
Richard Ewels, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "It's a life-size replica of a sheep made from resin worth £250 which has been stolen from the front garden of a home in Lowe Hill Road.
"Police are urging anyone with any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the replica to contact Wem police on 101."
