Reports said the blackout affected homes and businesses in Wellington yesterday at about 6pm.
It comes as Oswestry Town Council computers were shut down and a cinema was forced to cancel a screening after council offices suffered two power cuts.
On Friday, council staff were left without computers. David Preston, town council clerk, said no information was lost.
But on Saturday night film company Kinokulture's showing of My Brother The Devil at The Attfield Theatre was hit by a power cut.
A spokesman for Scottish Power said the power cut on Saturday was down to a fault with a cable and was fixed after five hours.
