£2.6m Shrewsbury business park dealt blow
Ambitious £2.6million plans for a business park on the outskirts of Shrewsbury have been dealt a blow after the town council lodged an objection to the scheme.
Under the proposals land on the former cattle market site at Battlefield Industrial Estate will be transformed.
But Shrewsbury Town Council opposes the designs of units which would be constructed there.
The authority said developer Rent-A-Space had not taken local views on board in previous consultation meetings ahead of the scheme being put in.
A statement released by Shrewsbury Town Council clerk Helen Ball said: "Members feel that the design of the building is not suitable for the area and that developers have not taken on board local comments made at previous meetings with the planning advisory group."
