Harvester and Frankie & Benny's eyeing Shrewsbury retail park
Plans for a new restaurant on a Shrewsbury retail park could create around 30 jobs, it was revealed today.
Developers Lasalle Investment Management wants to build a 4,000 sq ft restaurant on the Meole Brace Retail Park.
Two national chains – Frankie and Bennys and Harvester – have shown interest in the proposed site.
The restaurant would be built between car repair store Halfords and video rental firm Blockbusters on the eastern side of the retail park.
American-Italian food chain Frankie and Bennys already has a restaurant on the Forge Retail Park in Telford. Harvester has more than 175 branches across the UK.
A report with the bid says a restaurant would enhance the shopping experience.
