114 objections to homes proposal
Objections have been lodged against plans to build more than 200 homes on green land in Telford.
An outline planning application has been submitted by the Homes and Communities Agency, which wants to build 209 homes at Hadley Park West, off Okehampton Road in Leegomery.
Telford & Wrekin Council has received 114 letters and e-mails from local residents objecting to the plans.
Objectors claim the site is too small for so many houses. Councillor Pat Smart, for Hadley and Leegomery Parish Council, said the HCA was obliged to build houses in the borough. She said: "The residents would do well to accept there are going to be houses but to challenge the style, architecture and density of the houses."
Members of the council's plans board are being advised to approve the scheme when they meet on Wednesday.
