Jim Davidson Telford gig still not sold out

More than 100 tickets for a gig by comedian Jim Davidson in Telford remain unsold – just days before he is due to appear on stage in the borough.

The comedian is due to perform at Oakengates Theatre on Thursday, but unlike other comedians the show has failed to sell out, with about 500 of the 600 seats sold.

Slow sales are thought partly to be due to an outburst by the politically-incorrect comedian after his last visit to Telford in 2006, when he vowed never to return.

The theatre has launched a two tickets for £30 offer, with single tickets £19.50 for the show, at 7.30pm. Call (01952) 382382.
