Travelling actors from the Prince Albert Players visited one of the 10 Ironbridge Gorge museums, and performed an open-air interpretations of St George slaying the dragon.

Jane Little, events officer at Blists Hill said: "We pride ourselves for maintaining a host of traditions and celebrations and this most English of occasions is one of our most popular.

Families visiting the museum will enjoy celebrating St George's Day with our travelling actors.

"Big crowds watched the performances yesterday and those visiting today can also join in with the patriotic celebrations.

"There were lots of schoolchildren watching and they were totally enthralled as they'd never seen the story re-enacted before.

"This is a tradition, which it is important to remember as it is a big part of our heritage and really brings together everything patriotic about this country."
