Francis Crowley, 50, of Drake Crescent, Liverpool, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
Crowley is alleged to have he put his arms around a woman and rubbed her back in Minsterley, near Shrewsbury, on January 27.
He is also accused of licking the woman's ear.
It is alleged the touching was sexual, the woman did not consent to it and Crowley had no reasonable belief she consented to it.
The case was adjourned for trial at a date to be set and Crowley was bailed on the condition he does not enter Minsterley.
