£1.1m lottery boost for Shropshire projects
Lottery grants announced today for Shropshire community projects will fund a new BMX track, sports sessions for girls and a gazebo for children with disabilities.
Good causes across Shropshire have scooped a share of £1,125,516 from the BIG Lottery Fund's small grants programme, Awards for All.
Pontesbury Parish Council is riding high after receiving £10,000 to build a BMX track for young people.
Over in Bridgnorth, Shropshire Women's and Girls' Cricket Committee was bowled over by £9,078 for physical activities and healthy lifestyle guidance for girls at risk of obesity.
It will help girls and young women to improve their physical fitness and make healthy lifestyle choices.
