But that is the sight which greeted guests at a Shropshire wedding celebration at the weekend – when they came upon the world's only JCB bouncy castle.

County businessman George Fenton, the owner of plant hire company H Plant, bought the unique inflatable from bosses at JCB to entertain his wedding guests at the Wroxeter Hotel on Saturday.

Mr Fenton, 32, and his new wife Emma, 30, got married in Turkey on June 14, but held a blessing ceremony at the weekend for all those friends and family who couldn't make the wedding.

Nearly 300 guests attended the lavish ceremony – with the couple arriving at St Mary's Church in Leighton in a Rolls Royce and departing in a horse and carriage.

And the star attraction at the reception was the inflatable – which measures 50ft long and 30ft high and comes complete with assault course and slide.

Mr Fenton, said: "It is the only one of its kind in the world. JCB used it for their publicity events. All the kids were having a go on it, and even the adults as well."

Mr Fenton, from Madeley, Telford, proposed to his wife in Turkey last year during a 10,000 ft paraglide.

The incredible proposal saw Mr Fenton release a banner asking his partner of 14 years to marry him.

When they got back to solid ground, fireworks were released and the proposal was beamed on national Turkish television.
