The centre at Dawley Bank was not on a list of 26 units which will be closed under a restructure of the armed forces.
Speculation this year had suggested the Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry, based at Dawley, could be broken up with the loss of about 100 soldiers from Telford and Dudley.
Mr Pritchard said today: "I am pleased, despite the claims of some, that the Telford TA unit will be remaining open and fully operational."
The Territorial Army is also being renamed the Army Reserve under a shake-up announced by Defence Secretary Philip Hammond.
