Prees-based Furniture Link has outgrown its current headquarters, and will now start work on its new home on the town's Hortonwood Industrial Estate.

It will allow the business, which sources, imports and designs furniture, to embark on a period of high growth, and it expects to quadruple its turnover from its current level of approximately £5 million, to £20 million in the next six years.

The new 80,000 sq ft building in Telford has been designed for Furniture Link and will house its head office and a new showroom as well as warehousing to accommodate its growing portfolio of ranges.

Managing director James McConnell said: "We are looking forward to the move to Telford. The new large warehousing facility will be a massive commitment for us but our current premises do not allow for expansion."

Planning permission has been obtained for the new centre, and work on the site is expected to start in the next two weeks. The centre is expected to be fully operational from next February.
