Shrewsbury restaurants bid up for discussion
Two major restaurant chains which could create up to 60 jobs are a step closer to arriving in Shrewsbury.

Plans to open a branch of American-Italian food chain Frankie and Benny's and Mexican restaurant Chiquito's on the site currently occupied by the Gunn JCB depot on Battlefield Road in Harlescott have been recommended for approval ahead of a meeting of Shropshire Council's central planning committee next week.
The recommendation comes despite an objection from Shrewsbury Town Council, which fears traffic problems. Councillors will discuss the plans on Thursday.
