John Cattermole, 54, who ran The Monkmoor in Monkmoor Road, , appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday together with Phillip Owens, 50, of Crowmere Road, Shrewsbury.
The two men denied a charge of burglary, breaking into The Monkmoor on April 25, 2010 and stealing cash and spirits.
Cattermole, of Carshalton, near Croydon, also denied carrying out an act to pervert the course of justice on April 25, reporting to police that a burglary had taken place in which £2,800 cash and spirits had been stolen.
Both men were granted bail.
Judge Peter Barrie adjourned the trial to a date to be fixed.
