Man arrested in Telford sex assault investigation
A man has been arrested after an alleged sexual assault on a teenager in a Telford alleyway.
A female in her late teens was approached in an alleyway on Central Square as she walked to the train station.
A 24-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the attack, which happened at about 8pm at the rear of Lanyon Bowdler's, Ladbrokes and Swinton Insurance. The man was today being questioned at Malinsgate Police Station.
Officers investigating the alleged attack are keen to speak to people who were in the Central Square area of the town centre at around 8pm yesterday.
It is thought that an individual was heard to "wolf whistle" at about the time the alleged assault happened and police are particularly keen to trace this individual as they could be an important witness.
