Windfarms inquiry looking at effect on roads

A public inquiry into windfarms across Mid Wales was resuming today with the spotlight on how roads will deal with the proposed developments.

Potential developers for two of the windfarms, at Llandinam and Llaithddu, were due to give evidence to the inquiry at The Royal Oak, Welshpool, before facing questions from objectors including Powys County Council and objectors.

It is proposed to build windfarms in Llanbadarn Fynydd, near Llandrindod Wells; Llaithddu, near Newtown; Llandinam, near Llanidloes; Llanbrynmair, near Machynlleth, and Carnedd Wen, near Machynlleth.
