Hayley Crump, from Whitchurch, has made the shortlist for her work running Elegance Make Up – a mobile beauty service which covers Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and North Wales.

The 34-year-old mother has been nominated for the best saleswoman award which is open to businesses who work closely with clients and where interacting is an integral part of the job.

And the entrepreneur, who specialises in make-up for all occasions including weddings, will now be judged by a series of leading businesswomen including former winner and star of Dragons' Den Hilary Devey. The Mumpreneur awards aim to celebrate mothers throughout the UK who manage to juggle family life with running a business.

Mrs Crump said: "I cannot believe how quickly the business has grown in such a short time, and find that through advertising my services and the constant stream of positive feedback from brides, I am receiving recommendations from other wedding suppliers that I have not even met.

"I'm really excited to find out if I've won the award." Now she is in such demand she is already turning brides away in both 2014 and 2015 and has bookings for 2016.

Mrs Crump, who has two sons Harry, five, and William, two, said: "I'm actually self taught so never imagined the business would go as well as it has."

Mrs Crump was nominated for the honour by a close friend. Alongside the saleswoman award, she is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2013. The ceremony will be at the Holiday Inn, in Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham on September 30. For examples of Mrs Crump's work visit www.elegancemakeup.co.uk
