Station Road in Newport was closed for just over an hour as emergency services treated her and cleared the scene at around 5pm yesterday.
Duty Inspector Paul Crumpton, of West Mercia Police, said: "When we got there we had to get the woman out of the vehicle.
"She was very distressed and had a young child in the car with her.
"An ambulance attended the scene but I believe the woman did not suffer any serious injuries, and was treated at the scene.
"The road was closed while the police and fire service helped clean the area and waited for a recovery truck."
