Erw Wen and Maes Owen were among the areas hit by a loss of supply or low water pressure.
Severn Trent Water today apologised for the disruption and pledged to restore supply as soon as possible.
It is not known how many properties have been affected. The latest problem comes after the Victoria Memorial Hospital was left without water twice in three days earlier this month, leaving the fire service to provide emergency supplies.
The hospital's new kidney dialysis unit needs 1,200 litres of water every hour when running at full capacity.
