The pick-up truck driver failed to stop after the collision in the Shropshire village of St Martins, police said today.

The crash caused damage to both vehicles.

Police say the male driver was getting out of his red Citroen Xsara Picasso car in a parking area at the top of Moors Bank at about 9.30pm on Wednesday when the collision occurred.

Richard Ewels, police spokesman, said: "The driver was getting out of his car when a white pick-up struck the door of the vehicle, causing considerable damage to the door."

"In particular there was a small dark coloured hatchback following behind the pick-up. That driver may have seen the collision and is being asked to contact police.
