Man admits £20,000 burglaries at Newport food company
A 30-year-old man has admitted his role in series of burglaries at a Shropshire food company when an estimated £20,000 worth of fruit was stolen.
The raids at Jupiter Marketing Ltd in Newport were carried out over a nine-day period.
At Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday Darius Zitkauskas admitted two burglaries at the premises on the Audley Avenue Enterprise Park and stealing fruit on September 10 and 11. He asked for five other break-ins to be taken into consideration.
Zitkauskas, a native of Lithuania, also pleaded guilty to two charges of being in possession of cocaine and heroin. Zitkauskas, of Chervil Rose, Heath Town, Wolverhampton, was remanded in custody.
