The man was left trapped in the cab of the vehicle after it tipped in Boraston, Tenbury Wells, just before 11am.
Fire crews from Tenbury Wells and Ludlow raced to the scene and used cutting equipment to free the man from the tractor.
He was then taken by helicopter to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Steve Parry said the man was "conscious and alert" after being removed from the tractor but was complaining of pain in his right shoulder.
