Cat saved from kicking by two youths in Telford
This young kitten had to be rescued from two youths who were seen kicking it in the stomach in Telford.
The tabby, thought to be about six months old and named by vets as Tallulah, was seen being kicked by two youths in Sutton Hill.
A member of the public intervened and the youths ran off.
The kitten was taken to Wrekin View vets in Queen Street, Wellington, where staff are keen to reunite it with its owner.
RSPCA inspector Dave McCartney said: "The kitten was taken to a vet for treatment and, although she had no visible injuries, it is clear that she is very traumatised by what has happened.
"Firstly I am appealing to anyone who may know who these youths are to contact me. And I am appealing to find the owner of this kitten as well.
"We would also like to thank the member of the public for stepping in and stopping these youths attacking this poor defenceless animal."
The incident happened at about 10pm on Sunday. The youths were described as being aged 17 to 20 years old, and about 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins tall.
One was white and wearing jeans and a jacket. The other was described as being of Asian appearance and was wearing an all-in-one black tracksuit.
Anyone with information about the attack on the kitten should call Inspector McCartney on 0300 123 8018.
