Arson attack on car in Wellington

A car was set on fire in a suspected arson attack in Wellington today.

The Vauxhall Corsa suffered damage to the roof and bonnet after it was set alight in the early hours.

The car, which was on Tan Bank in Wellington, had been put out by the time a Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service crew arrived just after 1am.

Stephen Godfrey, from Wellington Fire Station, said: "The police believe it may have been started deliberately."
